This Weekend, June 30 2012, at the Market

Visiting the Market is a great way to kick off your Fourth of July week.  This Saturday:
  • Maywood Farms will have fresh flower arrangements for the first time this year.  Sue makes the flower arrangements while you wait, or you can choose from pre-made arrangements.
  • Shady Acres farm will have green beans and potatoes along with fresh whole chickens.
  • Stahl Orchards is excited to have a fresh batch of honey this week along with raspberries, peaches, and apricots.
  • Country Sunrise Creamery has a brand new apricot yogurt which would go great with their all new pecan granola.
  • Rocky Road Bakery will have extra homemade sourdough pretzels on hand this week, and they are buttery and rich.
  • Masser's Produce will have red raspberries, peaches, blueberries, and cherries.
  • Samantha's Heirlooms and Exotics, LLC is happy to feature their "Red, White, and Blue" potatoes again this week, along with lemon cucumbers, zucchini, and herb plants.  They also have homemade crocheted animals and hot pads.
We hope to see you at the Market this weekend!

This Saturday, June 23 2012, at the Market

Saturday will bring a nice break to the heat, so it's a great day to be outside!  Our vendors can't wait to see you bright and early tomorrow morning.

Did you know that getting to the Market early has some big advantages?  For one, some items in smaller quantities get sold out as early as 9AM.  Last week Maywood Farms sold out of mint by 8:05AM!  Samantha's Heirlooms and Exotics will have red, white, and blue potatoes this week, and their signature lemon cucumbers, but only a couple boxes.. Also popular are free-range eggs from Country Sunrise Creamery, and they go fast too.  In this case, the early bird gets the eggs.

Dr. Micah Dunn will again be joining us at the Market this week (probably earlier than 10AM).  You can meet him at the Maywood Farms tent, which is in the middle of the Market.  He will be there to introduce himself in preparation for his weekly appearances at the Palmyra Real Food Emporium starting on July 6th, 2012.  His phone number is (717) 580-5544 and his website is www.mypowerson.com.

We look forward to seeing you at the Market!

This Saturday, June 16 2012, at the Market

It's cherry season!  Look for cherries and some of your other favorite Summer produce like zucchinis and cucumbers. We've got beautiful greenhouse tomatoes as well.  Stop by and pick up some lettuce, onions, potatoes, and other veggies.  Visit one of our two bakers for some whole wheat bread (it's so buttery and delicious!) or some fantastic whoopie pies (they are vanilla spice, chocolate, and oatmeal raisin).  Of course there is always fresh milk and eggs along with chicken and other meats.

These next two weeks we will have a special guest, Dr. Micah Dunn, a chiropractor, who will be at the market from 10AM-Noon.  He will be there to introduce himself in preparation for his weekly appearances at the Palmyra Real Food Emporium starting on July 6th, 2012.  His phone number is (717) 580-5544 and his website is www.mypowerson.com.

Hello June!

June is here!  That means strawberries, raspberries, and cherries.  Zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, beets, radishes, and peas are already here.  There is always a great selection of fresh herbs, cheeses, milk, and baked goods.

Maywood Farms will soon be making flower arrangements on-site just for you!

Try some Granola from Country Sunrise Creamery.

Stahl Orchards still has hanging baskets and beautiful flowering plants.
